Our client is looking for a Registered General Nurse (RGN) in Tipperary
Setting: Care of the Elderly
Role: Temporary
Pay: 35 – 44 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective, evidence-based nursing care to patients.
- Carry out patient assessments, care planning, and evaluation of outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments in line with hospital policy.
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation and records.
- Monitor patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Support patients and families with education, reassurance, and discharge planning.
- Work collaboratively with doctors, allied health professionals, and nursing colleagues.
- Follow infection prevention and control, health & safety, and risk management procedures.
- Participate in ongoing training, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain professional behaviour and confidentiality at all times.
Job Requirements
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) (General Nurse Division).
- Must maintain active annual registration throughout employment.
- Strong clinical knowledge and ability to work in an acute hospital environment.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
Desirable Criteria
- 1+ year acute hospital experience (preferred).
- Experience in medical, surgical, emergency, or specialty wards.
- Competence in patient monitoring, IV therapy, wound care, and clinical documentation.
