Primary Title: Pharmacy Manager – Eye Hospital (On-site, Hassan, Karnataka)
About The Opportunity
We operate in the healthcare sector, specialising in ophthalmology and eye-care services delivered through a dedicated eye-hospital setting. This on-site leadership role focuses on delivering safe, compliant and patient-centric pharmacy services that support surgical, outpatient and inpatient ophthalmic care in Hassan, Karnataka.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day pharmacy operations for the eye hospital: supervise dispensing, compounding of ophthalmic preparations, and outpatient/inpatient medication distribution.
- Manage procurement, inventory control and cold-chain processes to ensure uninterrupted availability of ophthalmic drugs, consumables and surgical disposables.
- Enforce regulatory compliance and quality systems: maintain records, support audits, implement SOPs aligned with Drugs & Cosmetics Act and Good Pharmacy Practice.
- Collaborate with clinicians, surgeons and nursing teams to optimise formulary choices, dosing protocols and medication safety for ophthalmic procedures.
- Drive cost control and vendor management: negotiate with suppliers, monitor expiry/returns, and optimise stock levels using pharmacy/inventory software.
- Build and mentor the pharmacy team: recruit, train, schedule, and implement performance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications: B.Pharm or M.Pharm; Registered Pharmacist with the State Pharmacy Council. Proven experience in hospital pharmacy operations, preferably in an ophthalmic or surgical hospital setting. Ready to work on-site in Hassan, Karnataka.
Preferred
- M.Pharm or postgraduate diploma in Hospital Pharmacy
- Experience with Hospital Information Systems / Pharmacy Management Software and vendor procurement systems
- Training/certification in Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) or GMP and exposure to clinical pharmacy services
