Primary job title: School Medical Officer (MBBS)
Location & Schedule: On-site at Scottish High International School, Sector 57, Gurugram, Haryana. Weekdays 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM; Saturday half-day (timings as per school schedule).
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide front-line OPD care to students and staff: assess, diagnose, treat, and document acute and chronic conditions encountered in the school setting.
- Manage pediatric and adolescent health concerns including minor illnesses, injuries, and preventive care; refer complex cases to specialists when required.
- Administer first aid and emergency stabilization; coordinate timely referral and transport for emergencies.
- Maintain accurate medical records, immunization logs, and incident reports in accordance with school policies and confidentiality standards.
- Deliver health education to students, parents, and staff on hygiene, disease prevention, and wellness initiatives; support vaccination drives as needed.
- Collaborate with school leadership to implement health policies, screening programs, and return-to-school assessments following illness or injury.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MBBS degree with valid medical registration (State Medical Council/NMC).
- Clinical experience in OPD, primary care, pediatric, or school/occupational health settings.
- Proven ability to manage common pediatric and adolescent conditions and minor emergencies.
- Available to work on-site at Sector 57, Gurugram during specified hours (8:00 AM–4:00 PM weekdays; Saturday half-day).
Preferred
- Prior experience working within a school clinic or child-focused healthcare setting.
- Certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and first-aid training.
