Job Summary
We are looking for dedicated and motivated Pharmacists to join our team. While prior retail pharmacy experience is an advantage, fresh graduates with strong fundamentals and a willingness to learn are welcome. The role involves dispensing medications, patient counseling, and supporting daily pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, interactions, and compliance
- Provide professional counseling to patients on medication usage, side effects, and precautions
- Maintain proper records as per Drug Control and Pharmacy Council regulations
- Manage and monitor medicine inventory, stock levels, and expiry dates
- Coordinate with doctors, suppliers, and healthcare professionals when required
- Ensure compliance with all legal, safety, and ethical pharmacy standards
- Support daily pharmacy operations in a fast-paced retail environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm)
- Valid Kerala State Pharmacy Council registration
- Proven experience in retail pharmacy outlets
- Strong knowledge of medicines, drug interactions, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and customer-handling skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy billing/management software is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small startup team
