We conduct structured metabolic health screening camps in community and corporate settings, in collaboration with qualified medical and allied health professionals.
Role Overview
Clearcals is seeking to engage a qualified and registered Medical Doctor to support metabolic health screening camps. The role is screening-focused and non-diagnostic, emphasizing risk identification, health education, investigation recommendations, and appropriate referral, in line with medical council guidelines and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical screening and preliminary medical assessments related to metabolic health
- Review medical history, vital parameters, and screening data collected during camps
- Provide evidence-based medical guidance limited to screening interpretation and risk counselling
- Recommend appropriate diagnostic investigations, where clinically indicated, for comprehensive evaluation and follow-up by the patient’s treating physician or healthcare facility
- Clearly differentiate screening from diagnosis, avoiding definitive diagnosis or initiation of treatment during camps
- Recommend referral to appropriate healthcare providers when required
- Ensure ethical, patient-first communication, informed consent, and confidentiality
- Collaborate with dietitians and allied health professionals within clearly defined professional boundaries
- Address participant queries in a responsible, clinically appropriate, and non-promotional manner
Eligibility & Requirements
- Completion of an accredited medical degree (MBBS or equivalent)
- Completion of postgraduate training in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Preventive Medicine, Endocrinology, or a closely related clinical specialty
- (MD / DNB / equivalent qualification preferred but not mandatory)
- Board certification or eligibility, as applicable, in the respective specialty, in accordance with Indian medical education and training standards
- Valid and active medical registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) and/or State Medical Council, permitting independent clinical practice in India
- Demonstrated clinical experience in the management of metabolic, endocrine, and lifestyle-related disorders, including:
- Type 2 diabetes and prediabetes
- Obesity and overweight
- Hypertension
- Dyslipidemia
- PCOS / PCOD
- Hypothyroidism
- Metabolic syndrome
- Strong understanding of ethical medical practice, informed consent, patient confidentiality, and scope-limited screening care
- Ability to communicate clinical information clearly to individuals and groups in preventive and community health settings
Preferred Experience
- Background in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Preventive Medicine, Endocrinology, or related clinical disciplines
- Prior experience with community health programs, screening camps, or corporate wellness initiatives
- Interest in preventive medicine and lifestyle-based risk reduction, within evidence-based frameworks
Additional Information
- This role does not involve long-term patient continuity or prescription responsibility as part of camp activities
- Engagement is consultant-based, with flexible scheduling aligned to camp requirements
